Truck driving was a little too difficult for these people, so they switched to acting or singing instead. I guess the open road is not for everyone. Still, it is interesting to
see who got their start in trucking.
1. Liam Neeson

Before he became a famous actor in movies like Taken
and Schindler's List, Liam had a "particular set of skills" in
the truck driving world. He grew up as a driver in his
home country of Ireland. He also was a forklift driver
for Guinness. I think he should have stayed with that job.
2. Sean Connery

Yes the great 007 was a former Truck Driver. He held an
array of jobs before he settled on acting. The ability to
drive a Big Rig helped land him his first acting job. Without
trucking, we might not have ever seen him on the big screen.

You probably have not seen any of his films like Titanic
or Avatar. Oh you have? Well you can thank trucking for
bring you those movies. James Cameron used trucking
as a way to fuel his passion for directing before he quit
to do directing full time.
4. The King

That Beautiful Truck to the right is in honor of The King, Elvis Presley. Before he became the king of Rock n Roll, Elvis worked as a truck driver earning about $40 a week. He was told to stick to driving, because he would never make it as a singer. I think he made the right decision to switch.
Those are 4 big name truck drivers. Who is next? Is it you, maybe?
